ABOUT

Read 'em and Weep is short film consisting of a culmination of compelling storytelling, excellent cinematography, and fantastic editing. The story of a disgraced police detective struggling to cope with life after the death of his partner. In a bid to earn enough money to live out his dream of travelling, he plays a hand of cards against a notorious mob boss and wins. As a result, he becomes a target of the mob and is forced to fight for his life.

Director

JACK COLLEDGE

Jack is a passionate and devoted filmmaker from Northumberland. He has directed many many short films with the Those Fellows team. Directing is his focus but he also likes to be involved with the sound design of his films as he finds it interesting and creative in its own right.  Outside working with Those Fellows Films, he has worked with My Life Productions, based in Newcastle and London, as a runner and DIT on two short films in the summer of 2019. He spends most of his time coming up with ideas for future films except when the football is on, of course.

JAMIE LANGLANDS

Dennis

Jamie Langlands is an actor coming from East Sussex in the south of England. He is a professionally trained actor, with training from the Academy of Creative Training Drama School 2003-2005 and the Identity Drama School January-August 2016, who has vast experience in film, tv and stage. He has had leading and supporting roles in award-winning feature films and short films which have had worldwide distribution. He also has additional training in wrestling and stage combat making him the perfect choice for Read ‘em and Weep. Passionate about films and tv, his feature film credits include; ‘Home for Christmas’ (2014) directed by Jamie Patterson, ‘90 Minutes’ (2016) directed by Simon Baker, ‘Hurricane’ (2018) directed by David Blair. Tv credits include; ‘Killing Mum and Dad’ (2006) Sky, ‘World’s Most Evil Serial Killers’ (2017-2018) Woodcut Media.
